This new set of pipes is set up with cane drone reeds and there are some things about cane that make me like it better than the composite wood/plastic drone reeds I’ve been making for almost a year now. The problem with cane is that the reeds play differently in different climates and there’s a greater chance of them stopping than with composite reeds. I love the way these chanters are playing and thought I would play a 5/8 tune I’ve been working on.
