I just had a great weekend at the North Texas Irish Festival and had get a picture if Al with his new bagpipes and the pony the festival provided for us this weekend. You see, at every good festival the band is required to provide a document called a “tech-rider” along with their contract. Ours reads something like: “5 vocal microphones, 3 DI boxes, four moniter speakers, 5 instrument cables and a pony”. Well! My friends, let it be known that the North Texas IrishFestival does not fool around when it comes to supporting their musicians and we got, for the first time, our pony.
