I just played a wonderful St Andrew’s Day service at St Mary’s Episcopal church in Big Spring Tx and drove through some beautiful country yesterday. There were windmills and pumpjacks on the same land and it made for some interesting imagery, the old Texas and the new Texas together. There’s a bit of controversy about windmills among fussy people because they’re “ugly” and because of the “noise”. In the video below, I’ll let you be the judge. I was standing literally in the shadow of a giant windmill and the sound of it’s blades was drowned out by the idling sound of my brand new Honda Fit.
