Crossing the Sabine just got mailed!
Hello Everybody!
I’m so pleased to say that I just came back from the post office having mailed the first copies of the pilot CD Crossing the Sabine. They came in a bunch of UPS boxes last night around 7pm and I mailed them to you today. Up until this week I’ve been blogging the process a bit and now I’ve got some actual content to upload!
It was pretty much impossible for either Rich Brotherton or I, or Frances, to leave the tracks “basic” like we thought we would, so we just put everything we had time to do into it. The tracks are not basic at all. They are ornately developed and I thought it would be neat to do the opposite from the plan and release the fully developed ones on the CD and website and then upload the basics as well.
So you should be getting CDs in the mail in a couple of days. I’m torn about releasing it online before you get a chance to at least take a look at the physical product. I’ll post the password to that page after I upload everything and the tracks and artwork will be there for you to download any time, anywhere. If you made a donation on top of your normal $50 3-cd subscription for the year then I hope you’ll feel free to share the tracks with your friends in the knowledge that you really helped bring this music into the world.
Doing a happy dance! You, Frances, and your crew will be bringing many happy hours of enjoyment to all.
